MoveCanvas combines ordinary dimensions, conservative capacity assumptions, and visible buffers to produce planning ranges—not false precision.
Calculation principles
Inputs are sanitized at zero, intermediate values preserve precision, and quantities that must be purchased are rounded up. Recommendations reserve room for loading gaps and real-world variation.
Sources and assumptions
Methods use dimensional math and broadly used planning rates. When truck, container, storage, mover, or insurance policies matter, the calculator tells you to confirm the provider’s actual specification.
Testing
Core logic is checked against normal, empty, zero, negative, extreme, conversion, rounding, volume, weight, recommendation, fit, and buffer cases.
No hidden personalization
The first release does not use AI or upload moving details. Results are deterministic: the same inputs produce the same estimate.
